Today I have done an extremely sketchy rough of the storyboards to get an idea of what I need to change and make more clear story wise.
I have no idea what kind of look or environment to have yet so I can't do much else on the storyboard yet.
I feel the main character shifts from the elder dragon to the young dragon who escapes.
Maybe the elder dragon could warn the young dragon to run or save hid life by protecting him instead.
Otherwise it may be a bit weird to have the elder dragon just disappear as a character when the city is destroyed and swap focus to the young dragon who escapes.
Here is the really rough sketch based off the script.
Panels 1-3:
Establishing shot of the dragon city in the valley, next shot is the dragon civilians walking through the streets.
Panels 3-6:
Camera focuses on the elder dragon as the other dragons pass him by.
He look back at them and smiles as he continues to walk.
he turns back and something bright catches his eye because of his glasses.
Panels:7-9:
Shows the elder dragon look up towards the bright source.
Another closer shot reveals a silhouetted figure holding a spear.
More figures come into view from behind the hill.
Panels 10-12:
The elder dragons squinting eyes turn into shock.
The elder dragon yells out to everyone "H-Humans!" "The humans are attacking!"
Panels 13-15:
a shot of the panicking crowd of dragons run right off screen.
the elder dragon points them away from the humans.
Panels 16-18:
Elder dragon has a sigh of relief .
The elder dragon hears something behind him and quickly turns around to see dragon figures in tall hats.
Panels 19-21:
Close up of the dragon guards marching towards the gate.
They pass the old man and the last few citizens rush past away from the incoming humans.
Panels 22-24:
The guards approach the gate and look up to the hill.
Panels 25-27:
More humans pop up from behind the hill.
Close up of the guards worry and concern.
Panels 28-30:
The humans rush down the hill and the shot cuts to an overview of the city burning.
a young dragon is seen heading up the mountain away from the city and he looks back saddened.
Panels 31-33:
The young dragon finds a cave and curls up to sleep, quivering in fear.
Panels 34-36:
as he falls asleep the shot fades out
the next shot is the same dragon much older still asleep.
he wakes up.
Panels 37-39:
an overview of the valley once home to the dragons shows a castle where the dragon city once stood.
the dragon, furiously takes off towards the castle in flight with his fully grown body.
Panel 40:
the camera begins to fade as the dragon approaches to attack the castle.
Personal Project:
Worked on my comic abit more, had some posing and arm issues but hopefully that panel worked out.
