25th March

Working on rewriting the script and storyboard today, just trying to solidify every we need so we don't need to make any more changes.

Script:

FADE IN:
EXT. OLD LADY’S HOME - SUNSET
Establishing shot of an old country house, surrounded by trees.
INT. OLD LADY’S HOME - SUNSET
A series of establishing shots of the rooms and ornaments of the house. Settles in a room with large windows.
The sunset causes the shadows to grow longer and the Grim Reaper and his son appear from them. Father and son look across the room and see an old lady, reading in an armchair. She cannot see them.
The father pushes the son towards her, prompting his son to collect her soul.
The son closes his eyes tightly and takes a swing with his little scythe. It flows through the chair missing her as the lady stands up, oblivious.
She stands at the window, looking out to the sunset.
The father insists with more pressure that the son take her soul.
The son hesitantly walks towards the lady.
He tugs on her dress and she turns to look at him.
The son steps back conflicted as to what he should do.
The old lady reaches out her hand to him with a soft smile.
They walk into the light of the window together.
INT. OLD LADY'S HOME - NIGHT
Old lady is slumped against the wall near the window.
FADE OUT
THE END

Storyboard:

I was editing the ending to match our script,I've roughed out most of it now.

This starts right after the father pressures the son again.
The lady is now by the window out of harms way

the son walks up to her hesitantly

he taps/tugs on her shoulder.

she turns to him

conflicted, the son takes a step back.

she reachs out to him with a smile.

they walk into the sunset and it glows bright

fades to just the sun.

the sun sets to black

fades in to the lady slumped up against the wall

it cuts to credits.
